For over 50 years, AHEAD has brought sustainability in health, education, and agriculture to villages in Tanzania and The Gambia. Reconnect with old friends and join us on April 17th, 2027 to celebrate that legacy and be part of what comes next.

Our programs in Tanzania

Every gift supports work that families in Maruku and nearby villages count on.

Health Ambassadors
Students learn nutrition and health basics, then share them at home.
Youth Sports Camp
Four days of sport, teamwork and health lessons for local students.
Community Health Fair
Free checkups and dental care for hundreds of neighbors each year.
Maruku Health Center
Upkeep and restoration of the village clinic.
School Computers
Computer labs at Maruku and Bukara Secondary Schools.
School Agriculture
Hands-on farming programs that feed students and teach skills.
