AHEAD and Medical Supplies  E-mail

November 13, 2009

We are proud to announce that AHEAD, Incorporated in partnership with the Specialty Hospitals of America (SHA), Capitol Hill Campus and Action Teranga, were the benefactors of some 30 used electric hospital beds donated by SHA, which we collected and immediately shipped to Dar es Salaam on November 12, 2009.  Included in this shipment was medical furniture, bedside table and IV poles.  These efforts are consistent with our mission to assist in improving healthcare delivering in critically underserved facilities in Tanzania.  This is the sixth 40 foot shipping container that AHEAD has filled and shipped to Tanzania since June of 2008.  This newest donation will be received by Muhimbili Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania within the next 6 - 12 weeks.

AHEAD continues to identify viable donor sources to aid in our effort to accomplish this end and remain in discussion with a variety of organizations in this regard.  We welcome any entity or organization who wishes to partner with us in identifying and securing medical supplies, beds, equipment and materials; storage and shipment of said supplies, and financial sponsorship of these efforts.  Please contact us via the contact page on this website for further discussions.
