AHEAD dramatically improves immunization rates, childhood nutrition, and antenatal care, in rural villages in Tanzania and the Gambia. Improving health care, abating disease, and capacity building remains fundamental in our work.
Mothers walk for miles to bring their children for Village Health Outreach, often a baby on the back and one or two toddlers in tow. Improving access to healthcare in rural communities remains our challenge.
There are several different levels of committees partnering with AHEAD.
